EXOMILL VC-10® Premium Mills

EXOMILLS are made of premium-grade, superhard powder high speed steel.  They have special geometry for free cutting in heat resistant materials, high strength stainless steel and titanium alloys, other high tensile steels and alloys including tool steel.Speeds and feeds can be increased in certain materials with EXOMILLS, compared to regular HSS and cobalt HSS end mills.  Because they can withstand higher cutting temperatures than regular HSS and cobalt HSS end mills, EXOMILLS last far longer.   Due to their hardness and ability to withstand abrasion, they are subject to less wear than regular HSS and cobalt HSS end mills, and consequently do not need to be resharpened as often.  When resharpening is necessary, they have the same grindability as standard high speed steel end mills.  The result is superior performance on difficult-to-machine materials, plus the economy of long life.

EXOCARB Premium Mills

OSG/SOSSNER EXOCARB offers longer tool lfie than conventional carbide end mills.   Prior to OSG/SOSSNER'S development of the micrograin structure, conventional carbide end mills were limited to surface speeds of over 150 SFM in order to obtain consistent results.  This was solved with OSG/Sossner's improved micrograin end mills which can machine various materials at lower surface speeds.  OSG/SOSSNER'S innovative micrograin carbide offers greater toughness and coherence, avoiding chipping and material fatigue.OSG/SOSSNER'S EXOCARB premium micrograin end mills are designed to cover a variety of steel applications up to HRC-48 and are ideally suited for unattended operations found in today's CNC facilities.  EXOCARB end mills outperform cobalt HSS end mills up to 10 times longer in slotting and 30 to 50 times longer in profiling applications.   EXOCARB premium micorgrain end mills are designed to run at 20 to 50% higher speeds than M-42 cobalt end mills in carbon steel and 50 to 100% higher speeds in Titanium, Inconel, and a variety of other heat resistant alloys.

HY-PRO CARB Mills

OSG/SOSSNER HY-PRO CARB cutting tools are made from an exceptionally fine premium grade 10% cobalt micrograin-carbide structure which is one-third finer than any micrograin being used today and one sixth finer than conventional C-2 carbide, yet has a transverse rupture strength of 400 KGF/MM², which is 2.5 times greater than that of C-2 carbide.Designed for increased productivity, HY-PRO CARB end mills can be run at 100% to 300% higher speeds and feeds than M42 cobalt high speed steel end mills.
